De Tomaso Ghepardo Sports Cars Concept Designed For The Future

De Tomaso releases new renderings of a future car set to compete with the Mercedes CLS – its called the Ghepardo. The four-door sports cars, Ghepardo, suggests the new concept cars for the future De Tomaso. Ghepardo is designed with great respect for the De Tomaso history and design language, and several elements are inspired by the surface treatments of the Pantera and Mangusta. It is designed to match the future trends within the automotive industry both in design and functionality.
De Tomaso Ghepardo Sports Cars Concept Designed For The Future
This entire auto is inspired not only by the De Tomaso past line of cars, but by a fine taylor-made Italian suit as well. De Tomaso was considered the entry level to the holy grail of Italian super cars in the 1960s and 1970s. De Tomaso sport cars Pantera and Mangusta are used as inspiration for surface treatments and more. Auto designer Frederik Tjellesen has created a concept sports car for an Italian car manufacturer, De Tomaso, which runs on a low-emission hybrid engine. Christened the Ghepardo, the concept is a four-door sports car that boasts Ecoboost technology and methanol fuel cells.
The De Tomaso Ghepardo Sports Cars Concept Designed For The Future uses technology based on both the latest production sports cars as well as the concepts cars currently being tested. Ghepardo may be powered either by a Ford twin-turbo ecoboost 3.5 V6 producing 465 bhp or by four electric in-hub fuel cells each producing 85 Kw (combined an equivalent of 440 bhp). Electricity is produced by a methanol fuel cell stack located beneath the 500 litre boot. Active aerofoils are incorporated in the ‘c-pillar/rear wing’ giving the car optimal down force at any speed. The Ghepardo measures a length of 4820 mm, a width of 1970 mm, height of 1300 mm and a wheel base of 2990 mm.
The sports cars were as fast and as beautiful, however, more inexpensive than the ones of Ferrari and Lamborghini. In 1971, De Tomaso introduced the Deauville which was the fastest saloon car at the time. It was referred to as a super saloon by founder Alejandro De Tomaso. Inspired by the spirit of the Deauville, the De Tomaso Ghepardo is a modern four door fuel cell super car with a surface treatment inspired by the legendary De Tomasos of the 60s and 70s and designed for the future.
As an inspirational effect from the Mangusta, in  Ghepardo De Tomaso the rear wing function as the boot cover and the rear door. With elegant surface, volume, stand, lines with a smooth eye catching finish, the bottom windows are so designed that the rider can have an idea of the speed. Run by a power of approximately 450HP, this car surely binds style with future trend of the car.

Technical refinements to the chassis of the car and the suspension was also promised, but no further details were released by the company.
Few details are known at this point, but a remapped ECU should squeeze out a modest 17 horsepower boost from the stock 444-hp, 4.7-liter Ferrari-developed V8. Alfa Romeo Sport Cars Autodelta Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione is also working on fine-tuning the chassis, taking their 8C around some of the finest tracks in Europe to get it just right.

Autodelta also announced that they are working on chassis and suspension upgrades that will be presented at a later date.

//:: HID Headlights

"Here we go ranting about driving again ... Installing aftermarket HID headlight units to make you ride appear more luxurious is daft!"

It's late in the evening and you're driving down a 2 lane 2-way road when you notice that an oncoming vehicle has its bluish-white lights on a high beam. You quickly and politely flash your headlights to alert the oncoming car but there is no response from the other driver coming towards you. As you vehicles pass each other, the glare is so intense that you almost veer off the road.

Does this sound familiar? If so, join the cub. You, like countless others, have just become a victim of aftermarket HID glare. Commonly cause by the fitment for halogen bulb, this kind of modification is illegal in the UK and the US. An HID, or high-intensity discharge lamp, produces about 250 percent more light than a standard halogen bulb. Due to the increase in lighting capacity, a projector lens (similar to that of a camera's) must be used to focus the light properly on the road surface and shine below the windshield level of approaching cars. Vehicles equipped with original HID do not cause glare because they have these lenses.

Developed by Robert Bosch GmbH, the first passenger-car application of HID lights was on the BMW 7-Series of 1986 to 1994. The glass capsule has two wires separated by a void filled with xenon gas, mercury and halide salts that take the place of the filament found in a halogen bulb. When high-voltage current is introduced to the capsule, it arcs across the void, ignites the xenon gas, and produces a brilliant white light.

However, unlike the filament of a halogen bulb, which is shielded when the low-beam material is lit (limiting the area of the illuminated reflector), the single capsule of an HID bulb simulates the full beam filament of a halogen bulb.

The absence of shielding is what makes the aftermarket HID conversion kits a genuine road hazard. They cannot be dipped and will momentarily blind oncoming drivers. The trend of mimicking high-end cars with HID has led to the misguided popularity of aftermarket HID conversion kits. We recommend using premium halogen bulbs from responsible OEM suppliers like Bosch instead.

I just wish the government will act to this aftermarket selling of HID's ... Is our high-way patrol officers doing something about it? PNOY has asked the removal of wangwang's (sirens) so maybe they can do something about aftermarket HID's.

HID is good! don't get me wrong ... it helps you drive safely during the night or even when it's raining but you must have the proper equipment. If your car did not come with HID fitted as standard then don't get an aftermarket HID. You're just making roads much more dangerous to drive on too! You're not helping out. You're just being a FLASH GORDON! Wanting to impress somebody with your flashy headlamps fitted to your box with 4-wheels.

The new car will come with the pumped-up engine that will power next year’s Nissan Sport Cars GT-R. The twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V-6 will unleash 520 bhp at 6400 rpm to all four wheels, while weighing in about 60 lb. less than the current car, thanks to lighter weight parts throughout the body. Peak torque, estimated at 452 lb.-ft., will be reached from 3200 to 5200 rpm. This means the car will be quicker than the current GT-R. The 2012 Nissan Sport Cars GT-R EGOIST will also have a more compliant suspension (via revised spring rates and slightly different geometry at the rear), while still being able to keep up with cars on the track. The interior will also have numerous key “Egoist” touches.
The car will be delivered to customers in December. The price of the GT-R Egoist is set at about 14,000,000 yen or $150,000, roughly $50,000 more than a stock GT-R and about $10,000 less than a Spec V. The company plans to only sell about 10 cars per month. Nissan U.S.A. has offered no comment about the Egoist and maintains that the only GT-R the company will be selling in the U.S in 2011 is the stock one, so don’t expect the Egoist or Spec V to come this way anytime soon.

Incepto Sports Cars Concept by Azerbaijani Designer Samir Sadikhov

The future concept cars coming out these days are just spectacular. Sports cars are out of the range, this is the “Incepto, new design trends and styling language, Azerbaijani designer Samir Sadikhov has come up with a sports cars concept that combines luxury and performance in a single vehicle.
Incepto Sports Cars Concept by Azerbaijani Designer Samir Sadikhov
The first photo is the cars in a red and black design. Hailed as “Incepto,” the two-seater presents an aerodynamic body, especially the glass-covered rear wheels, to ensure minimal wind resistance and better controls at high speeds. Developed for the year 2020, the sportscar includes a dramatic center-vertical exhaust to tout an astonishing design language.
The smooth, curvy exterior of the Incepto is equally supported by an elegant and comfortable interior. Incepto Sports Cars Concept by Azerbaijani Designer Samir Sadikhov photos it is eloquent of the writer to describe the design as language. There are many medium a speaker can use to communicate. Taking the time to imagine, sketch, plan and create a concept is a very high level of communication that most think only scientists or mathematicians can reach.
Fortunately the design world is for the simplicity on this chaotic oblate sphere(Earth). Therefore all the complicated terms have no meaning for the consumer. Words that we like to hear are easy to use, comfortable, efficient, smooth and classy. The design sounds just breathtaking and so are the photos.
A concept car, designed by Samir Sadikhov, proves an amazing dexterity of a Student cum designer with a vision to build a futuristic two-seated, sporty and a luxurious sports car. He has also been able to successfully combine a enhanced aerodynamic approach by covering the rear wheels by glass and an unusual central-vertical exhaust, which is perfectly radically designed, converting his self-branded limited dream-car into a successful final product.

Though Incepto has a radical design which is different from many other designs and concept cars there is a portion of impracticality which can be refined for its better secured future.
