History
Rolls-Royce Phantom is a British engineered luxury car which is usually used by royalties and rich people accross the world.
Phantom I
The first Rolls-royce Phantom car A.S.A Phantom 1(1925-1931) had 6 litre straigh engine and was a symbol of luxury at that time. Phantom 1 was the replacement for Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost. Below is a picture of the first Phantom.

Before WWII, Rolls-Royce introduced its first V12 engine called the Phantom 3 which lasted till 1939.
Phantom IV
In 1950 Rolls-Royce introduced its Phantom 4 and was only made for royal crown. Ever since its birth only 18 have been ever made
Phantom V
Then came the Phantom 5(1959-1968). It was pretty much advanced from its older models. It was a v8 engine with twin SU carburetors. It had automatic transmission with 4 speed gears. Some of the famous owners of this car were John Lennon, Queen ElizabehII, and Governor of Hong Kong.
Phantom VI
Then in 1968-1991 one the last Phantom of 21st century and no more were introduced till 2003. For 22 years Phatom 6 ruled and there was no production after 1991.
Phantom of 21st centry
Rolls-Royce Phantom was desinged by Marek Djordjevic & Ian Cameron.This new Rolls-Royce Phantom is made by BMW and is cutomized for each customers at Rolls-Royce plant in Goodwood, West Sussex. It was first introduced in 2003. Phantom comes with 2 body styles 2-door drophead coupe/convertible and a 4-door saloon car. Rolls-Royce phantom was basically an answer to Mercedese Maybach.
Engine & Transmission
Rolls-Royce is powered with a 6.75 V12 engine which produces 453 bhp. The engine is capable of producing 720 N-m of torque. The engine comes out from a box from Germany i.e BMW. The power output of the car is regulated by infinitely varying valve. Phantom is equiped with the state of the art ZF 6 speed automatic transmission.

Not only the rear doors open backward but can be closed with a touch of a button using hydraulics. It has self-closing doors to ensure the doors are closed. Phantom has electronic locks and if a door is left open then the car would automatically come to halt. The rear doors also have umbrellas too.
