The Toyota RAV4 is a compact crossover SUV from Toyota. It was the first compact crossover SUV, in Japan and Europe in 1994 and beginning sales in North America in 1996. The vehicle was designed for consumers wanting a vehicle that had most of the benefits of SUVs, such as increased cargo room, higher visibility, and the option of full-time four-wheel drive, along with the maneuverability and better fuel economy of a smaller car. Its name stands for "Recreational Active Vehicle with 4-wheel drive", although not all RAV4s have four wheel drive, which is optional in some countries. early success of the RAV4 paved the way for other compact SUVs such as the Ford Escape and the Subaru Forester.

The Range Rover is a luxury vehicle, which is very much like a jeep. It is actually a sports utility vehicle, more commonly referred to as a SUV. Manufactured in the United Kingdom by Land Rover, the Range Rover has enjoyed tremendous success in its tenure as one of the most stylish SUVs around. First released in 1970, the Range Rover has remained at the forefront and has been widely regarded as one of the best cars ever.

The original concept of the Range Rover was developed by British Leyland, back in 1970. Since then, the car has been under the ownership of various automobile manufacturing giants, and they all have done justice to this majestic vehicle. The car is still produced today, and newer models are released every year. So far, there have been three distinct major generations of the vehicle that have been produced, and all of them have enjoyed tremendous success. For a major part of its life, the Range Rover was known by its original name only, until Land rover decided that they should do something to differentiate its elegance and hence, they renamed the original model as the Range Rover Classic.

World’s fastest LPG-powered BMW M5 Hurricane GS World’s fastest LPG-powered BMW M5 Hurricane GSLPG-powered-BMW-M5-Hurricane-GS-1.jpg BMW has released its new eco-friendly LPG-powered Hurricane M5 GS, which claims to be the fastest LPG-powered car in the world – with its ability to go from zero to 100kmph in 4.6secs. Tuning specialists G-Power has equipped the car with one fully sequential five-cylinder LPG system per cylinder bank. The reason they used LPG was, as they explained, because LPG cheaper than petrol and also reduces CO2 emissions by around 15 per cent. The car features a V10 engine producing 660 horsepower and 650Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. It can reach up to 200kmph and other features include a G-Power RS coil-over sport suspension, high performance braking system, 20-inch Silverstone Clubsport alloys and 255/35 front and 285/30 rear tires. Audi.jpg Audi is serious with its green dreams, and as part of cleaning up its act, the German automaker will now provide auto show attendees with digital brochures instead of the paper one’s we’ve been seeing all along. Hoping to reduce its impact on the environment and saving a load of trees from doom, Audi has teamed up with Digital Collateral too. So, if in future you end up falling in love with a certain car, you might not carry home a paper brochure. Instead, all you’ll have to take home is a camera-phone picture of you and that set of wheels. Auto shows will have a greener touch to them with reduction in paper use if other automakers follow in Audi’s footsteps. This will keep quite a few trees from meeting the axe. Paper recycling programs could be hooked on to, for an added environmental save at auto shows!

Brabus rolls out world’s first tuned car to meet the new EURO VI exhaust emission standard

The first car on the surface of the earth to match up to EURO VI exhaust emission standards has just rolled out of Brabus, packing in a Brabus ECO PowerXtra D6S performance kit snuggled inside the all new Mercedes S 350 BlueTEC. The car boasts an additional 55 hp (54 bhp) / 40.5 kW of power with a peak torque of 690 Nm (509 lb-ft), while this is the first tuning kit that met the EURO VI emission standards that will take effect in 2014. The car with the BRABUS tuning managed to stay well below the emissions standards by a good 30%. The maximum power output for these models increases to 313 hp (308 bhp) / 230 kW at a low 3,600 rpm and peak torque grows to 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) and the kit is available for all four body styles of the Mercedes E 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY and for the new CLS 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY model.
Great work done here by Brabus into giving the Mercedes S 350 BlueTEC a darker shade of green.
